Can you believe we’re already halfway through summer?

I haven’t even dipped my toes in the ocean yet. But luckily, I have a short family trip planned to the Gulf Islands. We’re so lucky to live near such a stunning spot, and honestly, taking the ferry there is half the fun.

I’m also super excited to collect lots of photo inspiration for future Tiny Turtle Shore playsets. But now I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s dive into last month’s releases!

New Releases

Here’s everything we launched on the store in July!

Miniature scales: 1:12, 1:16, 1:24

As the latest addition to our Signi Collection, this minimalist accent table features fluted detailing and a round tabletop.

Miniature scales: 1:6, 1:8, 1:12, 1:16

A modern seven-piece miniature decor collection designed to bring high-end, contemporary interior trends into the mini world. Featuring an abstract, stacked-ring silhouette, these vases, candleholders and cake platter fuse playful, pillowed geometry with sophisticated minimalism.

Miniature scales: Multi-scale / Play-sized for 1:12 to 1:16 scale figures

Pack your beach bag and spend the day digging for tiny clams with the new Clam Digger Playset. This set has everything you need to send your smaller scale dolls and poseable figures out beachcombing. Wait for low tide, then head out to the beach fill your bucket full of crustaceans.

More playsets are planned for this coastal collection, called Tiny Turtle Shore.

Last, but certainly not least, we launched a much needed piece of furniture at the very tail end of July…

The Aten Bed is a queen-size platform bed frame that creates a strong, structural centrepiece in your mini bedroom. The bedframe is low profile with a solid headboard on a plinth base. Also includes removal bed slats and a perfect-fit mattress that has room on each side to tuck in some tiny bedsheets.

And see how well it matches the Kells Collection dresser and nightstand? 😘

Coming Up Next

I’ve been drawing up sketches for the next Tiny Turtle Shore playset (yes, with a pencil and paper, because I’m surprisingly old school for a 3D modeler!)

Narrowing down what to make next was tough, but the concept I landed on is so adorable I can’t wait to share it. If you look closely, you might catch a few not-so-subtle clues (and an early prototype) hidden in the background of the Clam Digger Playset photos. Any guesses?

I also really wanted to launch matching pillows for the Aten Bed, and I’ve been testing out some prototypes (pictured above). Unfortunately, the 1:12 scale versions were being dramatic and insisted on printing with tree supports. And if there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s unnecessary supports! So I’m back to tweaking and testing for now, and hope to have them ready soon.

Beyond that, there’s a massive backlog of mini furniture designs sitting in the prototyping folders on my laptop. So expect a few surprise furniture drops coming your way this August!
